About the meal

This dinner season is titled ‘Begin’ as it is the time of renewal and freshening. We emerge from the colder months and are welcomed by fragrant, light air. This meal is inspired by spring’s delicate nature and a dawning of green. The food served is a way to highlight the bounty and lightness of the season, the meal is purposefully light and airy but still filling and warming—suitable for a transitional season towards the cycle of beginnings.

BrewHa! Caskfest (2019)

  • 184 Camelot Street Thunder Bay, ON, P7A 4A9 Canada (map)

After being rated the best new event in Thunder Bay (thank you Walleye readers!) we are back with CaskFest 2019! This is a cask beer festival featuring cask-conditioned ales. What's cask beer? It's beer that is transferred to a vessel (cask) at the right time after fermentation and allowed to naturally age. Some folks called this "Real Ale" as the beer can naturally carbonate. Saying that, they have less carbonation than a beer you and I normally drink. What does this mean? It creates a new tasting experience (with less burping).

How does this event work? We'll be rotating through casks over the 2 sessions as we run out. Every cask is unique and every time the bell rings, a new cask will be tapped. There will be 8 stations with a constant rotation of cask brews for the tasting. While sampling your delicious cask beers, we'll also have local artisans who will be showcasing their talents from crafts to food to art to music.

Ticket includes entry, a commemorative sample glass, and 4 sample tokens. More sample tokens are available at the BrewHa tent for $2.50 a piece.

A portion of the ticket proceeds supports Precious Bundles; a charity that support families in Thunder Bay with quality used clothing for children. #beerforgood

Them Rules:

This event is 19+ (no exceptions). It's also not pet-friendly (no one wants to step on your dog after a few samples). No liquids or outside food permitted through the entry. Tickets are non-refundable.
